Broadway Upstate has put the following policies into place for our 2018 season due to increased participation.

Shrek is open to grades 6-12(School year 18-19).
The Addams Family grades 4-12**.
**To audition for full length fall production you must have participated in our summer theater program, Aladdin Jr, Shrek, or be a student at Broadway Upstate Center for Performing Arts.

*Tuition Payment 2018 is $250:

Any candidate who is signing up to audition will pay $250 when registering.  Once tuition is paid and you are registered if you decide not to audition for whatever reason you will forfeit $50 and receive $200 back. If you audition and do not make the show you will be refunded the full $250. Preferably all registration and payments will be handled on our new website. If you are unable to pay online please remit check to

Broadway Upstate 2 Waynes Way Middle Granville NY 12849.

*Tuition includes participation in the show,  cast t-shirt, party after last show, headshot, catered meal inbetween Saturday shows.

**Please note there are no refunds on tuition after your audition unless you do not make it into the show .

Attendance Policy 2018:

Only two absences are allowed during the rehearsal period of a show. There are absolutely no absences allowed tech week of the shows. These 2 allotted absences are not to be taken unless absolutely necessary. We understand that children have other commitments but doing a production in a 6 week time frame demands perfect attendance.

Parent Responsibilities for 2018:

We love to have parents involved in their child’s theater experience. There are many ways to get involved and help your child blossom in theater. We do require parents to sign up to be on a committee. Committees are formed at the start of each show. We have concession sales, basket raffles, backstage helpers, stage crew and more. We also ask that each family bring in items for our concession sales during the shows. We will specify items needed closer to show time.
